Brook Green Supply are an independent B2B energy supply company. You will be working alongside a vastly experienced team who have operated in the energy industry for many years, providing a fantastic career opportunity for a determined, flexible, and driven individual, with personal development and progression aligned to the continued growth and success of the business.

We are seeking a Junior Sales Trader to join our Trading Desk at an exciting stage of growth. Reporting to the Sales Trading and Origination Manager, you will support client trading activity, help deliver a high standard of service, and contribute to business objectives.

The role offers a strong foundation in sales trading, with exposure to live markets, client interaction, and internal trading processes. Working closely with senior traders and wider commercial teams, you will develop your skills and understanding over time.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, getting deals done, and wants to begin or develop a career in energy within a growing, dynamic trading team.

Essential functions of the job:

  • Support the Sales Trading team in delivering trading services to clients.
  • Book trades accurately and promptly into internal ETRM systems, ensuring customer positions are appropriately maintained.
  • Support trade execution for flexible clients where requested, accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Monitor market movements throughout the trading day and assist with client-facing and internal market updates.
  • Work closely with trading and operations teams across the trade lifecycle, including post-trade processing and support.
  • Build and maintain client and internal relationships.
  • Contribute to improvements in trading processes and systems.

Experience and skills required:

  • Degree educated (or equivalent experience)
  • Interest in energy markets and trading
  • Experience in a trading, analytical, or commercial role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Excel or data analysis tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Commercial awareness and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Confident, professional and proactive approach
