About the Role
This is a remote, volunteer position in sales and outreach, offering hands-on experience in a fast-growing tech-focused organisation. You’ll support the growth of SkilledUp Life by engaging with potential partners, facilitating partnerships, and contributing to overall growth.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
As a Junior Sales Volunteer, your role will include:
- Researching & identifying potential tech company partners for SkilledUp Life
- Cold outreach via:
- Email campaigns
- Social media engagement
- Telephone follow-ups
- Engaging with prospects and partners to understand their needs and goals
- Assisting in customer service interactions—replying to inquiries, onboarding questions, and guiding partners
- Supporting onboarding for new partners, including data entry and record updates
- Organising and maintaining basic sales records (under guidance)
- Following up on leads with structured processes and validation checks
- Training to understand SkilledUp Life’s sales methodology and tools**—learning from more senior team members

Qualifications & Skills
We’re looking for motivated candidates who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are eager to develop their skills in sales, customer engagement, and outreach.
Required
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with diverse audiences effectively
- Basic or foundational Sales skills, including:
- Lead generation
- Conducting follow-ups
- Tracking and updating prospect data
- Interest in Training & Sales Management concepts (formal or informal) to support structured sales processes
- Comfort using remote collaboration tools such as:
- Email, Slack, or other messaging platforms
- Video conferencing apps
- Document-sharing software and CRM systems
- Ability to work independently with direction and guidance
- Commitment to ** Continuous Learning**, openness to feedback, and a growth mindset
- A genuine interest in at least one of these areas:
- Technology & tech startups
- Social impact & mission-driven initiatives

Preferred (but not required)
- Prior sales, customer service, or support experience
- Voluntary or part-time experience in outreach initiatives
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
