Junior Scrum Master
We are looking for a Junior Scrum Master to support our advisory team on a specific engagement. Our client is a London based organization that is currently refining how their internal teams coordinate on high priority projects. In this role, you will help facilitate the daily rhythms and meeting structures that keep work moving forward. This is a fully remote position that focuses on clarity, documentation, and the steady removal of friction from the workday.
About the Role
At Olive Tree Consulting, we believe that management problems are often structural habits rather than people problems. This role exists to help our client adopt better habits in real time. As a Junior Scrum Master, you are not just a meeting facilitator: you are the person who ensures that decisions made in those meetings are recorded and assigned. You will work closely with our consultants to bridge the gap between high level strategy and the daily tasks that make that strategy happen. You will be instrumental in helping the client team move away from relying on memory toward a reliable, written system of work.
What You Will Do
- Facilitate daily syncs and planning sessions for client teams within a remote environment.
- Capture clear, concise notes and action items, ensuring ownership is assigned to specific people.
- Maintain and update digital task boards to reflect the current state of work.
- Identify and flag blockers or stalled priorities to the project leadership.
- Help teams stick to agreed upon time limits and meeting agendas to respect everyone's schedule.
- Assist in drafting weekly progress summaries that focus on facts rather than fluff.
- Protect the team from distractions by ensuring the defined workflow is followed.
- Observe team habits and suggest small, practical changes to improve how information is shared.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth. We favor practical changes over large scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
