Company Description

Sirkka Health is a UK-based integrated medical assistance SmartPlatform that delivers user-friendly software and a nationwide network of nurses to provide mobile pathology services in homes and communities. We are recognised by Bupa and Vitality insurance for home and workplace pathology tests. We are looking for self-starters and problem solvers who love a challenge of finding the best solutions for our clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer – AI role based in London, UK. The role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software components that power Sirkka Health’s SmartPlatform, with a focus on AI-driven features supporting booking, test management, and results processing. The engineer will collaborate with senior developers, data specialists, and product teams to implement backend services, integrate AI models, and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable functionality.

The role also includes:

  • Supporting continuous improvement of the platform

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in machine learning and AI applications, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript or similar).
  • Knowledge of front-end web development and UI/UX, and back-end development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in building modular, maintainable systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and follow best practices in version control and documentation.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and motivation to contribute to technology that improves healthcare accessibility and outcomes.
