Role Description
As a Junior Software Engineer at Agridex, you will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of software features that support global agricultural trade. You will collaborate with senior engineers to implement back-end services, write clean and efficient code, and troubleshoot technical issues. Daily tasks include participating in code reviews, documenting technical work, and improving existing functionalities based on user and stakeholder feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nottingham, where you will work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
- Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in building maintainable code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in London, collaborate in a team setting, and communicate technical ideas clearly.
- Interest in agriculture, fintech, or marketplace platforms is beneficial, along with a willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
