This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer role based in London, UK. The Junior Software Engineer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining backend components of Sirkka Health’s SmartPlatform.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and testing new features
  • Fixing software bugs
  • Writing clean and well-documented code
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to review designs and code
  • Working closely with product and operations teams to translate healthcare workflow requirements into technical solutions
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of system performance and security

Qualifications

  • Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming using modern languages (such as TypeScript, JavaScript and Python).
  • Knowledge of Front-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in maintainable code.
  • Pursuing (e.g. industry-placement) or holding a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic testing practices is beneficial.
