Cranmore Consulting · Holywood, Northern Ireland
We're a human-led, AI-enabled transformation consultancy building agentic platforms, digital twins and enterprise solutions for public sector clients across the UK and Ireland. We're looking for a Junior Software Tester to learn the craft properly and grow into a trusted member of our QA team.
You don't need to know everything on day one. You do need to be curious, careful, and genuinely keen to learn.
Closing date for applications is 30/07/2026
What you'll do
- Turn user stories and acceptance criteria into clear, practical test cases
- Test software against what it's meant to do — and clearly document it when it doesn't
- Write reproducible defect reports that let developers fix things fast
- Work closely with developers, business analysts and senior testers
- Learn test automation and embrace AI to optimise how we test — this is core to how QA works at Cranmore, not an optional extra

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
