Junior Sous Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at one of our conference venues in Birmingham B4 7ET.

Job Details

This is a permanent position working 40 hours a week, 5 out of 7 days. You'll work a variety of shifts between the hours of 6am and 11pm.

We are looking for a positive, honest, and reliable individual to join our friendly and hardworking team. For the right candidate, we offer excellent training and strong opportunities for progression within our team of 9.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Junior Sous Chef, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing our food offerings
  • Bringing new flavours and technical skills to the kitchen
  • Taking ownership of your assigned section
  • Supporting your colleagues as part of a collaborative “one team, one dream” environment
  • Ensuring accurate allergy labelling and record-keeping at all times

Skills and Experience

  • Be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and the preparation and cooking of all types of dishes.
  • Be responsible, dedicated and a strong leader with the ability to manage a brigade of talented chefs.
  • Be able to train and develop your team supportively and professionally.
  • Deliver consistent food standards following the Wilson Vale brand standards.
  • Deliver fresh, seasonal and innovative food from around the world.
  • Be able to interact and engage with people while the food is being served.
