About us:
The Bell Inn sits proudly on the periphery of Stow-on-the-wold, one of the gems in the Cotswolds. Steeped in history the town is the perfect location from which to explore both the stunning countryside and charming towns around every corner. The Inn is 350 years old approx; we aim to provide the very best in offering great food and premium service at the Inn but take great care not to dilute any of its ancient characters.
With fourteen beautifully decorated en suite bedrooms we consider ourselves one of the leading Inns in the Cotswolds.
The Inn boasts a rare front garden/terrace which is the perfect place to relax in Summer with a glass of rosé or you can sit by our log burner and warm up in the Winter with a pint or Youngs ale.
We believe we are the perfect place for those looking for a role within the hospitality industry. I pride myself on giving my staff the best possible work life balance and we play hard work hard. There is tremendous loyalty within the team reflecting I believe a healthy and fun environment in which to work.

What we look for in a Sous Chef:
We are looking for an existing Jnr Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step, who considers themselves as a natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Sous Chef you will:

- Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
- Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team
- Be an active hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills
- Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
- Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
- Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
- Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
