About The Role
Working as part of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and training of the kitchen team across the resort, whilst also contributing towards menu creation.
The role requires flexibility to work 5 days per week between the Resort’s opening hours including evening & weekend.
About You
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience within a four star / five star hotel, resort or rosette restuarant. Ideally experienced in high end functions (weddings preferred) You will have strong hygiene controls including, HACCP, allergen controls along with a Food Hygiene Certificate.

You Will Have
Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Passion for food, seasonal ingredients, and an eye for detail Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices

Leekes Retail was established in 1897 as an ironmonger in the Welsh Valleys and the group has grown and diversified over the last 120 years.
It remains a family business run by the fourth generation with the retail division trading from 4 large home department stores, 2 furniture stores and a builders’ merchants, whilst the leisure group two four-star hotels – the Vale Resort and a 17th century grade I listed castle Hensol Castle in addition to a gin distillery and visitor centre.
