Luxury department store Harvey Nichols is seeking an exceptional Junior Sous Chef to join The OXO Tower, Southbank. As the new Junior Sous Chef, you will work 40 hours a week in our OXO Tower restaurant.

About The Role…

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be helping prepare food for our customers and make their eating experience with us a memorable 5* experience. You will:

  • Support the Head Chef with menu planning and daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard, following authorised recipes.
  • Ensure all menu items and mise en place are ready for service at the correct times.
  • Run kitchen sections independently when required.
  • Follow stock control, stocktaking and costing procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness in line with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Care for kitchen equipment and report any needs for repair or replacement.
  • Uphold strong kitchen security procedures.
  • Train and develop team members, helping identify skill needs and supporting recruitment.
  • Foster positive team morale, motivation and performance.
  • Work closely with Front of House to ensure smooth service.
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through efficient, timely and courteous service.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by the Head Chef.
