Junior Sous Chef - Rondo

Our Junior Sous Chef - The Hoxton, Holborn

Company Description

We are looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef at The Hoxton in Holborn, specialising in our modern bistro restaurant, Rondo.

A warehouse-turned-restraunt with a relaxed vibe, Rondo serves seasonal, modern bistro dishes and a fine wine listing, offering something effortless yet unforgettable for breakfast through to dinner. The restaurant is overseen by the talented Head Chef Chris Gillard (ex-St John) and features the impressive wall of wines curated by Will Lander, former Head of Wine at Quality Chop House.

This is the kind of restaurant you’ll love to discover — authentic, high-quality, yet fun and welcoming.

Job Description

What You’ll Do...

  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team
  • Collaborate with menu development whilst maintaining the Hoxton Restaurant brand framework, allowing the provenance of ingredients to shine
  • Maintain and elevate kitchen standards, seeking efficient yet high-quality solutions
  • Take full responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and teamwork, delivering exceptional guest and staff experiences
  • Lead your team by example, keeping them motivated, engaged, and empowered to deliver top-tier Hoxton service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
