Junior Sous Chef – Canary Wharf
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Canary Wharf. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up and play a key role in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Position Details
Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday (great work-life balance – no weekends!) Pay: £19.47 per hour Team Size: 19 kitchen professionals
About The Role
As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You’ll help maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene while contributing to menu development and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing kitchen operations and service Supervise and support junior team members Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes Maintain food safety and hygiene standards Contribute ideas for menu improvements and seasonal dishes
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a similar role or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up Passion for fresh, high-quality food Strong organisational and leadership skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team player with a positive attitude
