Your Role

As a Junior Stewardship Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting Invesco's investment stewardship and proxy voting activities across our global portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in corporate governance, responsible investment, and stewardship.

Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll develop your research and analytical skills by reviewing company information, assessing shareholder meeting proposals, and helping to prepare voting recommendations in line with Invesco's Global Proxy Voting Policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of AGM and EGM proposals across a range of global companies and develop voting recommendations aligned with Invesco’s Global Voting Policy.
  • Conduct research on companies or governance topics using company filings, third party research and market data.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for company engagements with boards or investor relation teams on governance and stewardship related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including investment teams, legal and compliance and the broader stewardship team.
  • Support the execution of voting decisions across portfolios and maintain accurate records of voting activity and rationale.
  • Produce accurate and detailed monthly voting reports for distribution to key stakeholders.
  • Participate in team research projects and initiatives to enhance stewardship outcomes.
  • Support responses to internal and client queries related to proxy voting and stewardship.
  • Build knowledge of corporate governance, proxy voting processes and global stewardship practices.
  • Contribute to a highly collaborative team environment and support broader team initiatives.

What You Will Bring

  • You may have gained experience in asset management, stewardship, financial advice (IFA), or wealth management and be looking to build on that foundation in a specialist role focused on investment stewardship and corporate governance.
  • Strong interest in corporate governance, proxy voting and stewardship.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to interpret company disclosures and synthesise information clearly.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Honest, trustworthy and good-natured.
  • Curious and eager to learn, with an interest in developing knowledge of financial markets and stewardship practices.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant disciplines such as Law, Finance Economics or Business preferred.
