Junior UI Engineer
CRITICAL: Frontend Developer (Digital Interface Specialist)
About the Role
This role ensures our digital interfaces for client mandates are as clear and rigorous as our strategic analysis. Working with a major organization based in Birmingham, this position will contribute to building tools that visualize corporate governance structures. Your task is to translate senior partners’ logic into functional, professional user interfaces.

Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, clean user interface components using modern web technologies
- Collaborate with firm principals to define information requirements for Birmingham-based client projects
- Maintain a consistent visual language across all digital reports and internal tools
- Build and refine interactive dashboards to help clients achieve portfolio clarity
- Write clean, documented code aligned with internal standards for simplicity and reliability
- Debug frontend issues and ensure tools perform well across browsers and devices
- Transform static operating model diagrams into interactive digital components
- Participate in reviews to ensure software tools align with the firm’s professional tone

Key Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Beginning-level understanding of modern frontend frameworks: React or Vue (preferably via personal projects or studies)
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly in writing
- A logical mindset prioritizing functionality and clarity over unnecessary visual complexity
- Sharp attention to detail in:
- Layouts
- Typography
- Information structure on screen
- Willingness to learn about:
- Corporate governance
- Holding company structures
