Tech Pipeline helps operations teams fix the broken middle of their business processes by bridging the gap between existing tools and actual work requirements. Our client is a financial data firm currently struggling with manual reconciliations and stuck approval chains that delay their monthly reporting. This Junior Web Developer role exists to help us find integration gaps and rewrite the specific routing rules that cause operational friction.

About the role

In this position, you will work on the technical reality of how web applications move data within a professional environment. We are not interested in high-level strategy or abstract frameworks. Instead, we need someone who can open the system, find why an approval chain is failing, and fix the specific integration gap causing friction for the user. Our project for this financial client involves reconciling multiple internal data sources, and you will work to ensure the web interfaces for these systems are accurate and functional. This is a fully remote role where you will support our technical team in maintaining the plumbing of various internal tools.

What you will be doing

  • Identifying friction in web interfaces by reading application logs and error reports to see where data transit fails.
  • Updating routing rules within the application code to ensure information reaches the correct internal teams.
  • Resolving technical issues in the frontend that prevent financial operators from completing their daily tasks.
  • Working within existing codebases to fix specific bugs rather than attempting to rebuild systems from scratch.
  • Coordinating with the technical team to document how code changes impact the daily business workflow.
  • Participating in the final phase of system deployment to ensure the technical solution remains stable for the client.
  • Tracing data errors from the user interface down to the API layer to find the true source of truth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Direct mentorship from senior technicians who prioritize ground truth over corporate slide decks.

Working at Tech Pipeline

We avoid the noise of many technical roles by focusing on documentation and measurable results. Communication happens primarily through weekly updates and technical logs rather than long meetings. We believe in providing our clients with a system they can actually run on their own, which means our developers must be excellent at leaving a clean, documented trail of their work. We work remotely, but we stay very close to the technical reality of how work moves through a system. Our goal is always to fix the specific problem, stay through the first month of live operation to make sure the solution sticks, and then leave the client in a better position than we found them.
