Location: Rugby, Warwickshire Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays) Location: On-site
About the Role
We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Wood Machinist to join a dynamic machine shop team in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
This hands-on role suits someone who prides themselves on precision craftsmanship, has a strong understanding of material selection, and is passionate about producing objects of the highest structural and aesthetic quality.
The successful candidate will:
- Support production output, uphold stringent quality standards, and contribute to the growth of less experienced workshop team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, accurate machined components to exact specifications
- Operate in a fast-paced workshop environment to meet production targets
- Select appropriate materials to ensure optimal finish and consistency
- Identify and resolve challenges related to design, materials, and production processes
- Mentor and support less experienced team members or apprentices
- Contribute to process improvements, methods, and workshop efficiency
- Maintain the highest standards of health & safety at all times

Requirements
- Proven experience in wood machining, furniture-making, or joinery workshop settings
- Strong knowledge of materials and machining techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Experience in mentoring or training apprentices (or a willingness to learn)
- High awareness of health & safety practices
- Proactive attitude with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
