Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Wood Machinist to join a busy machine shop team within a high-quality manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, understands material selection, and is passionate about producing components of the highest structural and aesthetic quality.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production output, maintaining quality standards, and helping develop less experienced team members within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, accurate machined components to specification
- Operate within a busy workshop environment to meet production targets
- Select appropriate materials to achieve optimal finish and consistency
- Identify and resolve design, material, and production challenges
- Support and mentor less experienced team members or apprentices
- Contribute to improvements in processes, methods, and workshop efficiency
- Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
Requirements
- Experience in a wood machining, furniture making, or joinery workshop environment
- Strong understanding of materials and machining techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support others
- Experience mentoring or training apprentices (or willingness to do so)
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Proactive attitude with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
