Overview
Are you an experienced, high calibre Security Dog Handler who possess an abundance of self-pride? The Security and Protective Division at Bradburys Group is currently recruiting experienced K9 General Purpose Security Dog Handlers for positions across the East Midland, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
Following an induction, on-boarding and training schedule, you will be required to:
- Provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for all
- Demonstrate high customer-facing skills whilst remaining approachable and polite at all times
- Maintain daily security events/activity logs
- Enhance the client’s brand identity and reputation
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of health and safety within the specific work environment
- Liaise professionally with the police, client, management, visitors and contractors
- Identify and report any health and safety hazards
- Conduct coordinated and random external security patrols
- Respond to, and investigate suspicious activity and incidents
- Manage enquiries
- Submit reports and updates to operations management
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience within the security industry
- Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence in Front-line Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection
- National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) Level 2 or Level 3 Certification
- Emergency First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Five-year checkable work history
- Full UK Driving licence
- Proof of Right to work in the UK
- Training in line with BS 8517-1 code of practice for general purpose security dogs
- Excellent command of English communication skills (written, oral, email)
- Immaculate appearance and high standards of personal hygiene
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt at all times
- Vigilant and alert at all times
- High level of fitness
- Excellent attention to detail and a natural investigative mindset
- Confidence in your ability to manage difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner
- Excellent time-keeping/time management

Core Hours
- 4 shifts-on/4 shifts-off
- Monday – Friday: 09.00hrs – 21.00hrs
- Saturdays and Sundays: 09.00hrs – 21.00hrs
