We are seeking an innovative and driven Assistant Karting Manager to help lead Kart Silverstone, a world-class facility at one of the most prestigious motorsport venues on the planet. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of leisure and motorsport as we build on our vision to become a dynamic, year-round destination.
At the heart of Kart Silverstone is a spectacular 1.4km FIA-CIK circuit, multiple Arrive & Drive configurations, and an iconic two-storey facility complete with a stylish restaurant, roof terrace, customer-focused reception, briefing rooms and workshop. As the Kart Silverstone Technician, you will be assisting the Kart Silverstone Lead Technician with the running of the Kart Silverstone workshop and maintenance of kart fleets.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Assist the Lead Technician in the opening phase, establishing all workshop operational standards.
- Contribute to workshop related activity in accordance with Company housekeeping standards and Health and Safety at Work standards.
- Contribute towards workshop daily operations, ensuring optimal kart utilisation, flawless execution of events and a seamless customer journey.
- Contribute towards ensuring all karts, tracks and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
- As instructed manage kart performance parity, safety and availability, working with the Kart Silverstone operations team.
- Be fully proficient in all Silverstone Karting systems, including booking, timing, etc.
- Take on ad hoc tasks as required by the Senior Technician.
- Oversee the fuelling operation, working in collaboration with the operations teams.
Customer Experience
- Assist with the delivery of unforgettable experiences from a technical perspective.
- Maintain exceptional kart maintenance standards, addressing customer concerns swiftly and professionally.
Team Leadership
- Champion department collaboration and communication to ensure seamless delivery of operations.
- Partake in training initiatives, ensuring you excel in kart maintenance, safety protocols and kart handling.

Safety and Sustainability
- Conduct regular inspections of the karts and workshop equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, collaborating with regulatory bodies and internal teams to adhere to rigorous industry standards and best practices.
Financial Management
- Manage consumable usage.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and present to the Karting Manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences.
- Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, thriving in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of industry trends, health and safety regulations and operational best practices.

- Basic mechanical aptitude and skills.
Work Environment
- Dynamic, fast-paced, and hands-on, with both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed – we operate 364 days a year!
