Zalaris UK and Ireland is hiring a Key Account Manager with Strong Upsell & Business Development Acumen who combine exceptional customer relationship with a challenger-Sales mindset to drive growth across our multinational HR & Payroll Managed Services portfolio.
Location and Market Focus
Deep expertise in the UK and Ireland market is required. You must be:
- Located in UK / Ireland
- Fluent in English
- Internationally comfortable operating across cultures
Your Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers in UK and Ireland, supporting them throughout their partnership with Zalaris - from service transition and governance to renewal, growth and continuous improvement. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders, helping customers get the most value from our services while identifying opportunities to improve processes and expand the partnership.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience working in HR and Payroll outsourcing (BPO) organisations and have a good understanding of SAP HR and SAP Payroll solutions or similar e.g Oracle, Workday. This background will help you build credibility with customers and understand their business challenges.

Working closely with Service Delivery teams, consultants and senior stakeholders, you will ensure an excellent customer experience whilst supporting long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own key customer relationships, contracts, P&Ls, and strategic account plans.
- Drive renewals, upsell, cross-sale and expansion into new markets and services.
- Facilitate tactical & strategic governance meetings, ensuring clarity, alignment & execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic customers, using your HR and Payroll outsourcing expertise to advise, challenge and support continuous improvement.
- Identify business challenges and opportunities to improve customer outcomes.
- Lead opportunity development and manage the sales pipeline within your accounts.
- Champion customer success and work with internal teams to deliver results.
Your Experience and Skills

- Proven experience in a Key Account Management, Client Partner or Customer Success role within an HR & Payroll outsourcing (BPO) in complex, global environments.
- Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated success in upsell, renewals, and business development.
- Experience managing strategic customer relationships and working with senior stakeholders, ideally multi-country.
- Understanding of Payroll, Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, Travel & Expense, and HCM platform i.e. Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar.
- Analytical and advisory skills — able to build business cases and challenge customer thinking.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial “can-do” attitude and strong accountability for customer success.
