**KDB Developer – Data Services KDB (Commodities & Global Markets) |

We are looking for an experienced KDB Developer to join our Commodities and Global Markets team. You will play a pivotal role in developing, modernising, and optimising our KDB ecosystem, partnering closely with quantitative investment strategies (QIS), traders, and business users.

About the Role

Our Data Services KDB team develops and mantains the platforms underpinning our trading, risk hedging, and quantitative research workflows. As a KDB Developer, you will be part of a small, hands-on team supporting a broad, multi-asset landscape—with a strong focus on commodities, alongside options, futures, and indices.

Our goal is to ingest, process, and analyse real-time and historical market data, supporting live trading environments while enabling quant teams to research and backtest strategies before production. The platform operates across global markets, serving a 57-year history of unbroken profitability.

At Macquarie, you’ll contribute to a fulfilling career while shaping a future where technology and innovation drive impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
