Key Account Executive
Key Account Executive (Enterprise SaaS Sales) – United Kingdom
Our partner company is seeking a Key Account Executive (Key AE) based in the United Kingdom, specialising in enterprise-level sales for complex, high-value accounts.
About the Role
As a Key Account Executive (KAE), you will drive enterprise-level growth by engaging with some of the world’s largest engineering and industrial organisations. Your mission:
- Manage high-value sales cycles (targeting deals of $200K–$2M+).
- Build long-term strategic relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Transform engineering workflows through advanced software solutions that accelerate product development and reduce time-to-market.
- Operate in a highly consultative, collaborative environment, working with sales, product, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where your commercial execution directly shapes enterprise growth.

Accountabilities
Account & Deal Ownership
- Drive enterprise sales strategies to Secure long-term revenue growth and strategic partnerships.
- Lead and close multi-phase, multi-stakeholder deals across sales cycles that can exceed $2M.
- Manage extended procurement cycles, ensuring deal progression from prospecting to close.
Consultative & Solutions-Based Selling
- Conduct deep-dive discovery with engineering leaders, procurement teams, and executives to identify business challenges and value drivers.
- Develop tailored software solutions that align customer needs with product capabilities and engineering workflow optimisation.

Relationship Management
- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with key decision-makers to drive account expansion and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage full deal lifecycles.
Pipeline & Forecasting
- Ensure accurate pipeline forecasting using CRM tools (Salesforce).
- Align account plans with business objectives to deliver consistent revenue growth.
Customer Success Integration
- Partner with Customer Success to support onboarding, renewals, and expansion opportunities—maximising customer lifetime value (CLV).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Contribute to internal alignment with Product, Marketing, and Sales Development teams, using customer insights to refine market strategies.
Requirements
Essential
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, with a proven track record of closing deals ($200K–$2M+).
- Experience selling into large-scale enterprise accounts (10,000+ employees) with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Consultative selling expertise, ideally in technical/industrial sectors—e.g., manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace.
- Ability to drive large pipelines and meet/exceed revenue targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills—ACEs may be required to interact with C-level executives.
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce) for forecasting and reporting.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented mindset with a commitment to commercial excellence.
- Thrives in ambiguous environments, prioritising client-centric problem solving.
