Key Account Manager
National Account Manager
Talent Magpie is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing international business to recruit a National Account Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation with ambitious growth plans, a strong reputation for innovation, and an expanding global presence.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and developing strategic customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and identifying new commercial opportunities. This position offers a balanced mix of account management and business development, making it ideal for a commercially minded individual who enjoys building long-term partnerships while actively seeking new opportunities.
The Role
As National Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring strong customer engagement, delivering account growth strategies, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations, and customer support to ensure a seamless customer experience and maximise commercial performance.
Alongside managing existing accounts, you will also be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, helping to expand the company's customer base and strengthen its market position.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
- Understand customer objectives, challenges, and market requirements to develop effective account strategies.
- Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and range expansion.
- Generate and convert new business opportunities, contributing to overall company growth.
- Deliver against sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent service and successful project delivery.
- Monitor account performance, sales trends, and market activity.
- Prepare regular forecasts, sales reports, and performance reviews.
- Use market intelligence and customer feedback to support strategic decision-making.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities.
About You
We're looking for a driven and customer-focused commercial professional who can build strong relationships and identify opportunities for growth.

You will ideally have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Account Management, Business Development, or a similar commercial role.
- A proven ability to manage and grow customer accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and results-driven approach.
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
- Confidence working with sales data, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Experience within consumer products, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or related sectors would be advantageous.
