ROLE: Key Account Manager
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
LOCATION: Regional Recruitment - London - Home Counties
Mitie are recruiting for a motivated Key Account Manager to oversee the Environmental and Waste Service Delivery across a range of client accounts, primarily based in London and Home Counties but with national coverage.
This position encompasses the management and coordination of operations, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest possible standards. These standards must consistently meet clients expectations and comply with all contractual requirements associated with the account.
The Account Manager is responsible for the effective oversight of both strategic and waste service delivery across major portfolios.
The role demands sustained attention to detail in every aspect of service provision. Proactive engagement is essential, both with clients and internal teams, to guarantee the effectiveness and continuity of services across all relevant locations. Regular communication and collaboration are crucial to maintaining operational excellence and client satisfaction throughout the account.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the service delivery across all client locations, ensuring consistent quality and reliability at every site.
- Conduct site visits on a national basis, undertaking performance assessments, operations and service delivery as well as identifying areas for service improvement
- Regular engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies for service enhancement and cost savings
- Completion and management of monthly KPI reports, including management of performance improvement plans where required
- Management and support of on-site teams across a range of client locations
- Liaise with Mitie Waste Finance team to ensure debt and AI is minimised.
- Continuously assess Client needs, market trends and legislative changes to uncover new business opportunities, innovative solutions and propose service enhancements.
- National site travel, managing your own diary, tasks and deadlines as required. Attending meeting depending on client need.

What We Are Looking For
- Waste management / industry experience essential,
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience working with strategic clients, managing P&L, financial performance,
- Proficient in MS platforms, presenting, excel etc.
- Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders, internal and external,
