Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + Growth Bonus + Profit Share Bonus Scheme

About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join a growing, market-leading business that supplies innovative clean-up solutions for Trade and DIY customers across the UK and international markets.
Our client is an ambitious, fast-growing business with a portfolio of award-winning brands. They are seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to join their team in Leighton Buzzard.
This is an exceptional opportunity to develop long-term customer partnerships, drive sales growth, and strengthen the company's position in the independent merchant and retail sectors.

The Opportunity
As Key Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of key customer accounts, fostering long-term relationships and identifying opportunities for sales growth, new products, and introductions.
You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales, Customer Service, and Business Development, playing a critical role in ensuring the company remains the supplier of choice for its customers.
This is a varied yet impactful role with a mix of autonomy, customer interaction, and the chance to make a significant commercial contribution. While based primarily in Leighton Buzzard, occasional travel will be required to visit customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships through proactive account management
- Increase customer spend by identifying growth opportunities and introducing new products
- Develop strategic account plans that maximise sales and customer retention
- Collaborate with Business Development and Area Sales teams to maximise opportunities across existing and new customers
- Support negotiations on trading agreements, rebates, and commercial terms
- Analyse customer performance and sales data to identify growth opportunities
- Ensure all customer activity is accurately recorded in the CRM system
- Coordinate the successful onboarding of new customers
- Work closely with Customer Service to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Provide valuable market intelligence and customer feedback to support future product development
- Produce regular KPI reports and account updates for the management team
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, including occasional site visits
Requirements
You’ll succeed in this role if you have proven experience in Key Account Management, Account Management, or Business Development, with a track record of:
- Developing lasting customer relationships
- Delivering consistent sales growth
Ideal Background:
- Experience relevant to Flight: Unwrapped
- familiarity with the builders' merchants, trade, or retail sectors
- Proven success in driving revenue growth through customer insights
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities that maximise account profitability
- Proactive, organised, and results-driven attitude
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and act decisively
- A full UK driving licence
