Job Description

🚀 Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! 🚀

As a Key Account Manager within our Nuclear New Build Business Unit, you will play a strategic role in developing and managing customer accounts within the Fusion and Modular Nuclear sector, covering a wide range of customers and technologies.

You will focus on building trusted relationships with leading stakeholders, helping to position Assystem as a key delivery partner for these transformative technologies.

Reporting to our Key Account Director (New Build), you will be responsible for leading key account plans and supporting growth strategy in collaboration with the wider Business Unit team and other business units.

Your Role

  • Manage relationships with existing and new strategic external clients
  • Ensure sales order targets are achieved
  • Update and champion CRM records to reflect current opportunities
  • Provide accurate forecasting and bid tracking
  • Maintain and deliver key account development plans
  • Drive the capture of strategic, high-value opportunities
  • Support internal strategic planning across the BU (Business Unit)
  • Develop and grow the business with the skills to identify and develop new customer opportunities
  • Represent Assystem at senior client engagements and industry events

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential

  • Ideally degree qualified (in engineering, science, business, or a related field)
  • Previous experience in account management or business development
  • Proven track record of success with strategic clients and complex accounts
  • Strong experience in CRM systems and forecasting tools
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management/engagement, and negotiation skills
  • Strategic and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a matrix organisation

Preferred

  • Experience in the nuclear, energy, infrastructure, or oil & gas sectors
  • Familiarity with gated bid and review processes
  • Understanding of fusion and modular reactor market landscape
  • British nationality (due to security clearance requirements)
