National Key Account Manager – Trade / Merchant
Location: National / Home-based
Business Area: Cement & Packed Products

At Tarmac, we’re looking for a high-performing National Key Account Manager to take ownership of two of our most strategic customer relationships – Travis Perkins and H&B Buying Group.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll shape account strategy, drive commercial growth, and deliver exceptional service, all while influencing at senior level both internally and externally.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the strategy and performance of key national accounts
- Building strong, trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders
- Driving growth through upselling, cross-selling and identifying new opportunities
- Acting as the key link between customers and internal teams
- Managing account performance, profitability and sales mix
- Producing and presenting insightful reports to stakeholders
- Leading demand forecasting to support operations and supply chain
- Supporting pricing strategy and commercial negotiations
- Ensuring first-class service delivery and resolving any issues quickly

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in key account management and sales
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth
- Experience working with national or multi-site customers
- Background within building materials or a related industry (preferred)
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and forecasting capability
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and resilient

- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Commercial awareness and customer insight
- Strong IT, reporting and data analysis skills
