Key Account Manager - Europe
International Account Manager – FMCG (London, Hybrid)
Are you an experienced International Account Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you have a proven ability to drive sales and profit growth through effective distributor management and market expansion?
If so, this opportunity could be for you. A leading FMCG company is seeking a talented International Account Manager to join their team in London, offering hybrid working.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll serve as the strategic expert and key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll take ownership of growing businesses in key markets, managing distributor relationships and ensuring alignment with the company’s brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and onboard top distribution partners in key markets.
- Achieve sales and profit targets through effective distributor management.
- Monitor in-market sales and distributor stock levels, taking actions to meet budgets.
- Analyze sales, brand performance, and unlock further growth opportunities.
Marketing
- Develop and implement marketing calendars with distribution partners.
- Work closely with Brand Managers to align marketing activities with brand strategy.
- Oversee marketing activities and new product launches, ensuring successful execution.
- Document and manage funded marketing activities.
- Share relevant market intelligence with senior management.

Financial Management
- Oversee customer P&L, including marketing investments.
- Prepare profit forecasts, sales, and A&P budgets, and conduct quarterly reviews.
- Monitor market profitability and provide regular updates.
- Manage marketing budgets, ensuring transparency and accuracy in expenditures.
Distributor Management
- Motivate and support distributors to maximize sales and profit growth.
- Evaluate current and potential distributor performance, recommending changes as needed.
- Identify and appoint new distributors in untapped markets.
- Manage business transfers between distributors and oversee pricing.
- Lead new brand and SKU launches with marketing support.
Logistics
- Manage demand forecasting and collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have significant experience in International Account Management within the FMCG sector, particularly in Western and Eastern Europe. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing business development, marketing, and financial accountability.
Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Global Markets/Export Account Management.
- Proven track record of developing new territories and managing distributor relationships.
- Strong marketing and brand-building knowledge.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working with financial metrics.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
- International mindset and cultural sensitivity.
