Key Account Manager for Healthcare & Education

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Key Account Manager for Healthcare & Education to join our Specification team in the North of England, supporting the continued success of Altro’s premium flooring and wall cladding solutions. This is a pivotal role where you will develop and manage key customer relationships, influence specifications, and drive growth across major healthcare and education accounts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and managing strategic relationships with key healthcare and education customers
  • Developing and executing Key Account Plans to grow and retain major accounts
  • Driving product specification by influencing end users and stakeholders
  • Delivering CPDs and commercial presentations (both in-person and virtual)
  • Identifying opportunities and building a strong project pipeline with your colleagues
  • Supporting projects through their lifecycle to maximise conversion
  • Negotiating agreements and establishing commercial terms where appropriate
  • Providing expert advice on Altro products, applications, and installations
  • Organising product trials to demonstrate real-world value
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, legislation, and competitor activity
  • Using CRM systems to manage and record customer interactions
  • Representing Altro at networking events, exhibitions, and industry forums
  • Encouraging customer engagement with our Voice of the Customer Programme

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in a field sales or key account management role.
  • Confident relationship builder with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Experienced in delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven, with strong planning skills.
  • A collaborative team player with enthusiasm, drive, and a customer-focused mindset.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience within healthcare, education, or construction-related sectors.
  • Knowledge of specification sales or relevant product areas.
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of market dynamics.
