About Romac Logistics
At Romac Logistics, people are the foundation of our success. We are a growing logistics business specialising in chilled and ambient distribution, delivering high service levels to leading retail and FMCG customers across the UK.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Commercial team.
This is a senior customer-facing role responsible for managing several of our most important national accounts. Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will develop strategic customer relationships, drive operational performance and identify opportunities for continued commercial growth.
Working collaboratively with our Operations, Finance, HR and Commercial teams, you will ensure exceptional service delivery whilst leading customer projects, driving continuous improvement and supporting the long-term success of both our customers and the Romac business.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, ensuring contractual obligations, KPIs and service standards are consistently achieved.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers at both operational and senior management level.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for customer issues, ensuring swift resolution and clear communication.
- Lead customer implementation projects and operational improvement initiatives across the Romac network.
- Produce project plans and coordinate successful delivery across both Romac and customer teams.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and support future business development.
- Monitor account profitability and drive initiatives that improve commercial performance.
- Work closely with operational teams to challenge existing processes and deliver continuous improvement.
- Produce and present regular KPI reports, operational reviews and business performance updates for both customers and senior management.
- Ensure accurate invoicing information is provided to the Finance team to support timely customer billing.
- Work in partnership with Key Account Managers and Customer Services to ensure customer claims are managed efficiently and resolved in line with agreed service levels.
- Build strong relationships within customer organisations to ensure Romac is well positioned for future opportunities.

Skills And Experience
- Previous experience managing key customer accounts within transport, logistics or supply chain.
- Strong understanding of operational KPIs and contractual service delivery.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage customer expectations and resolve complex operational issues.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis.
