Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Key Account Manager to drive the commercial success of GSK’s Haematology team in Scotland and Northern Ireland. This territory-based role (with scope for remote working and face-to-face engagement) requires a results-driven professional with strong business acumen to ensure medications are integrated into local and regional NHS services, while overcoming access barriers.
This is a high-profile and dynamic role due to the strategic importance of MSK Haematology products – improving patient access and delivering transformational impact.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Account Management
- Develop, execute, and measure account plans to drive uptake of GSK medicines
- Build and maintain trustful relationships with key stakeholders (including NHS hospital trusts, cancer networks, and external Key Opinion Leaders)
- Optimise patient pathways to increase prescribing uptake
- Negotiate value-based agreements with stakeholders alongside our Investment Decision (ID) teams
- Ensure traitment adherence and co-ordinate patient transitions across care pathways
- Demonstrate clear KPI-driven progress, aligning to project metrics (e.g. driving investment decisions, budget management, delivery of milestones)

2. clinically differentiated collaborations
- Anylyse patient needs and NHS system challenges to craft tailored solutions
- Articulate clinical differentiation using robust medical and evidence data
- Collaborate with Medical Science Liaison (MSL) teams to build mutually beneficial advocacy
- Partner with marketing, medical, and market access teams to refine product positioning
3. external expertise engament
- Advance and influence External Expert engagement
- Build a broad network with professional societies and third parties
4. strategic oversight
- Map patient journeys, identifying barriers in treatment protocols
- Actively optimise care coordination across NHS settings, focusing on real-world efficacy

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Skills
✔ A university-level degree (or equivalent professional experience) meeting ABPI standards ✔ Proven account management expertise ✔ Deep NHS insight (including NHS cancer service frameworks, drug pricing, specialised commissioning) ✔ Background with complex stakeholders (both internal colleagues and external healthcare partners) ✔ Adultifies independent analysis to drive consultative and commercial goals
Preferred (but not mandatory)
✅ Direct experience within oncology/haematology ✔ Project management credentials
