We are seeking a passionate Account Manager in Retail Media, specialising in Tesco Media & Insights, to take ownership of strategic partnerships and revenue growth for UK’s largest retailer.


The Opportunity

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Be the strategic driver behind media and measurement campaigns for premium FMCG brands.
  • Leverage deep technical and analytical expertise to shape marketing strategy across Tesco’s digital eco-system.
  • Build long-term revenue by strengthening client relationships with internal Sales teams and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Revenue & Growth Leadership

    • Hit quarterly and annual targets for FMCG partners.
    • Oversee financial performance and grow campaign budgets.
  • Cross-Channel Strategy

    • Collaborate with client brands, agencies, and Tesco’s Shopper/Digital/Commerce teams to maximize activation across Shopper Media, Digital, Loyalty, and In-Store solutions.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Campaign Execution

    • Provide actionable campaign recommendations using advanced analytics.
    • Lead weekly reporting with clarity and insights-led recommendations for advertisers.

  • Product Specialisation (Tesco Media & Insights)

    • Deep expertise in ads retail media solutions (placement partners, loyalty media, shopper media).
    • Champion adoption of innovations (e.g., video ads, proximity tech, AI-driven targeting) for maximum advertiser ROI.
  • Client Relationship & Advocacy

    • Act as Escalation Lead, ensuring escalated client concerns are challenged and resolved.
    • Partner with Tesco’s Sales Client Partners to co-ordinate cross-company rollouts.

What We Expect From You

Experience & Industry Knowledge

  • Industry Experience: 2+ years in media sales, retail media, or advertising (performance/digital/brand).
  • Ongoing Education: Passionate about Tesco Media & Insights’ products, trends, and future growth (e.g., AI, privacy-first tech).

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel (multi-sheet data), PowerPoint, Confluence, and querying large datasets.
  • Ability to synthesise heatmaps, investment reports, and recommendation metrics into clear, motivating takeaways.

Soft Skills & Mindset

  • Scenario mindset: Thrive in fast-paced campaigns with cross-teaming stakes (e.g., demand forecasting crises).
  • Consultative problem-solving: Translates client challenges into media strategy tailored to Tesco’s technology stack.
  • Solution-obsessed: Does not accept status quo and pushes for ** win-win executions** between Tesco and advertisers.
  • Disciplined ownership: Takes personal accountability for revenue, client loyalty, and internal alignment.
  • Technical artistry: Owns pitch materials from tech frameworks (e.g., programmatic, DSP technology) to customer-facing decks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or equivalent at any level.
  • Language: Fully fluent in spoken and written English (non-negotiable for client-facing role).
