Job Title: Key Account Manager - UK
Reports to: Head of UK Sales
Location: Cwmbran or Home Based, with Extensive Domestic Travel
Working Hours: 37.5hrs/week, as required to fulfil the duties of the role

Core Responsibilities
- Own and manage a defined portfolio of strategic UK key accounts, with full accountability for revenue growth, margin performance, and long term account development across clean water and wastewater solutions.
- Develop and execute structured account plans that align customer objectives with HWM’s commercial strategy, portfolio priorities, and growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong, multi-level relationships within customer organisations to position HWM as a trusted, long term strategic partner.
- Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities within existing accounts to increase customer spend through value led, solution based selling.
- Act as the single point of commercial ownership for assigned accounts, ensuring clarity of accountability and coordinated engagement across HWM.
- Deliver accurate opportunity pipelines and sales forecasts to support short, medium, and longer term commercial planning.
- Work closely with the Business Development & Applications team to provide customer, market, and application insight that informs opportunity development, product focus, and strategic prioritisation.
- Collaborate with Customer Excellence teams to ensure a high quality, consistent customer experience, including effective communication, timely issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across commercial, technical, and delivery functions to ensure effective execution and customer outcomes.
- Maintain awareness of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive activity, feeding insight back into the wider commercial and business development functions.

Qualifications / Relevant Experience
- Proven experience in a key account management or senior account management role, ideally within the UK water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure, or related technology sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of managing and growing strategic customer accounts, with accountability for revenue growth, margin performance, and long‑term account development.
- Experience of working with complex customer organisations, building relationships across multiple stakeholder levels including commercial, technical, operational, and procurement functions.
- Strong commercial capability, including account planning, opportunity management, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Experience of working cross‑functionally with business development, technical, operational, and customer support teams to deliver customer outcomes.
- Ability to provide structured customer and market insight to inform opportunity development, product focus, and commercial decision‑making.
- Comfortable operating within a changing or evolving commercial environment, supporting the implementation of new structures, processes, and ways of working.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required to support key customer relationships.

About You
You are a commercially minded account manager who enjoys taking ownership of complex customer relationships and being accountable for outcomes. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, balancing long‑term account development with day‑to‑day commercial execution. You build credible, trusted relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. You take a structured, organised approach to account management, planning, and forecasting, and are comfortable working with data to support decisions. You collaborate naturally across teams and functions, recognising that successful account management depends on effective internal coordination. You are proactive, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to remain focused and effective in a dynamic commercial environment. You act with integrity and professionalism, representing HWM positively and consistently in all customer interactions.
