Key Account Manager UK
As Key Account Manager UK, you are responsible for developing and growing strategic multichannel partnerships in one of Mr. Mallo’s most important markets. You are the commercial owner of your accounts and continuously seek the balance between customer needs, margin performance, and sustainable, long-term collaboration.
Your responsibilities
- Key Account Ownership: you manage the day-to-day relationship with the UK customers across all channels (retailers, distributors, wholesalers & industry) and are their single point of contact.
- Commercial Growth & Profitability: you define and execute account plans and manage pricing, volumes, tenders, and margin performance.
- Private Label & Innovation Collaboration: you work closely with customers and internal teams to develop winning private label concepts and tailored solutions.
- Sales Performance Management: you track sales performance per account with the right action planning and ensure accurate input to the operations teams.
- Lead & Opportunity Management: you monitor the market, identify and approach potential new leads, and guide them from pitch to deal.
- Internal Alignment: you align internally with Customer Service, Sales Support, R&D, Operations, and Procurement to ensure flawless execution.

Please note the headquarters is in Wetteren, Belgium, and there is no physical office/plant in the UK, so the work is fully remote. You report directly to the Sales Manager UK, USA & Canada (who is also UK-based).
Competences and skills
Personal qualities
- You have strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- You are customer-centric, structured, and commercially sharp.
- You feel at home in a private label environment.
- You have excellent communication skills and are strong in stakeholder management.
Technical skills
- You hold a master’s degree in a commercial or business discipline (Business or Commercial Engineering), or equivalent through long-term relevant experience.
- You have at least 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Key Account Manager in FMCG or food retail – UK market knowledge is essential, and Private Label sector experience is required.
- You are confident using MS Office.
- Language skills (written and spoken): fluent English.
- You live and work in the UK, you are willing to visit clients within the UK, and, on rare occasions, you are also willing to travel to Wetteren for training purposes.
