About Us

Reolink is a leading innovator in the Video Security & Smart Home sector, providing cutting-edge products and solutions to improve businesses and consumers' lives. As we continue to expand our retail presence, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow our relationships with key retail partners including Screwfix, Argos, Currys, B&Q, John Lewis and others.

Role Overview

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing and growing strategic retail accounts to increase revenue, market share, and brand visibility. You will work closely with key retail partners to optimise product placements, online content, promotional strategies, marketing activities, drive sales performance, and ensure the best possible customer experience. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail market, as well as excellent negotiation and communication skills to foster lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management:

  • Manage relationships with existing key retail partners and develop new partnerships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for appointed retail partners, ensuring smooth and effective communication.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that may arise within accounts, such as stock shortages or customer service concerns.

Sales Growth & Performance:

  • Drive sales performance across all assigned accounts by implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the retail partners to set and achieve sales targets, monitor KPIs, and plan/forecast promotional activities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to analyse sales trends, forecast demand, and strategise for future growth.

Product Placement & Merchandising:

  • Ensure products are strategically placed within retail locations for maximum visibility and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to create and implement in-store promotions, displays, training and seasonal campaigns.

Market Analysis & Competitor Benchmarking:

  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams to inform product offerings and campaigns.

Contract Negotiations & Pricing Strategy:

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotions with retail partners to maximise profitability and mutual benefit.
  • Collaborate with management and finance team to ensure pricing strategies align with the company's overall goals.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of account management strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and product availability for key retail partners.

Reporting & Data Analysis:

  • Prepare regular sales reports, performance metrics, and forecasts for management review.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve account performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Experience goes a long way but a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. A master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in key account management, preferably in the surveillance, smart-tech or consumer electronics retail sector.
  • Proven track record in retail sales, account management, and developing long-term business relationships with retail partners. Experience as a buyer within key account retail will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales dynamics, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape in the tech industry.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficient in CRM software and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.

Desirable Attributes

  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of the latest trends in the tech industry.
  • Previous experience in the tech retail space is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and store visits as needed.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and drive results in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
