Key Operative
Summary
Join Our High-Performing Team and Help Drive Production Excellence
The Role
Support the safe and efficient manufacturing of goods by taking responsibility for all aspects of raw materials, labour, equipment, and maintenance in your assigned area. You'll play a crucial role in connecting departments, using your expertise in Production & Packing to help achieve our shared goals in food safety, employee well-being, site safety, and maintenance priorities, while also driving innovative projects forward.
Shift Pattern Sunday - Thursday 21:00-05:00
Your Key Responsibilities
To act as a professional and trusted advisor to your Line Manager in all production and packing / distribution matters relating to the relevant site. Regular constructive engagement with, and co-ordination of, the broader teams (other sites, HSE Depts) to facilitate the local delivery of site production goals Safety To act as a role model for safety behaviours on site and be able to deliver quantifiable results in reporting safety issues, health issues and deal with these proactively. Liaise with the Management on site for any safety reasonable requests. Responsible for own health and safety in area in line with company procedures from handbooks, signage, induction, notifications and training documentation. Reporting any safety, health or environmental incidents without delay to Line Manager. Responsible for coaching fellow work colleagues and new members of the One Young's team on health and safety in area in line with company procedures. Responsible for the active health, safety and environmental improvement of the area in which you operate within. Responsible for ensuring area complies with high safety standards and takes active participation in health, safety and environmental audits. Hygiene Responsible for championing clean as you go practices and good manufacturing practices in the area you operate within. Responsible for coaching fellow work colleagues and new members of the One Young's team on Hygiene practices in area in line with company procedures. Responsible for ensuring machinery hygiene checks are completed in line with company protocol. Reporting hygiene defects promptly to the Hygiene Department and Line Manager.

The Ideal Candidate
Level 2 Food Hygiene (or equivalent) Ability to work with peers in a matrix structure to draw in external skills to achieve local goals. Track record of delivery A personal commitment to role model behaviours Previous experience of checking and completing paperwork to a highly accurate standard.
