Salary & Contract Details
- £35,451 – £39,165 per annum (adjustable for part-time roles based on 37-hour or 30-hour contracts)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Working Hours: 2 x 37-hour roles & 1 x 30-hour role

About the Role
We are seeking three motivated Keyworkers (2 at 37 hours, 1 at 30 hours) for Targeted Family Help (Charnwood). Successful candidates will:
- Build strong relationships with families and young people.
- Conduct challenging, solution-focused work, engaging families effectively.
- Work flexibly with complex family issues, including:
- Mental health
- Offending behaviours
- Substance misuse
- Domestic violence & abuse (emotional, physical, sexual)
- Educational or welfare challenges
- Identify and deliver evidence-based interventions, such as:
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
- Freedom Programme (for coercive control)
- Parenting programmes
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches
- Motivational interviewing
A precise thing is honesty matters: An enhanced DBS with barred list check is mandatory for this role.

About You
To apply, you must demonstrate how you meet these essential criteria in your application:
Key Requirements
- Qualifications/Experience:
- Level 3 qualification in child/adult support, social care, or related field *(or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience supporting families with complex needs (as described above).
- Skillset & Awareness:
- Knowledge of conflict resolution alongside child safeguarding priorities.
- Elective neutrals’ or mediators’ wall-to-work (diffusing tension, addressing confrontation).
- Understanding of factors impacting families: poverty, discrimination, grief, family breakdown.
- Skill in identifying "cumulative harm"—cumulative indicators for neglect, sexual exploitation, physical, emotional, and other forms of abuse.
- Client Engagement:
- Ability to persuade families to participate in interventions despite resistance.
- Proven track record of building rapport despite communication barriers.
- Empathy while maintaining accountability for child safety.
