About the Role

The Store Key Holder ensures a seamless store experience by leading operations in the absence of management. This key leadership role drives revenue, customer loyalty, and team success while fostering a welcoming, efficient environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead opening/closing duties, including security protocols and POS setup.
  • Mentor and coach team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and visually appealing sales floors and backrooms.
  • Handle inventory, stocking, and merchandise repositioning.
  • Process transactions accurately, including returns, exchanges, and promotions.
  • Project positivity to inspire team productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Train new hires on store procedures and product knowledge.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer concerns and management obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee store security (alarms, locks, and shop safety).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and POS training for team members.
  • Process end-of-day reporting and financial reconciliation.

Customer Experience

  • Build lasting connections with customers through personalized service.
  • Respond agilely to customer inquiries, promotions, and loyalty program engagement.
  • Resolve complaints diplomatically to maintain satisfaction and trust.

Team Management

  • Collaborate with team leads to set goals, track performance, and maintain morale.
  • Assist in onboarding by explaining store workflows and expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team atmosphere.

Retail Operations

  • Manufacture sales floor presentation per brand standards.
  • Coordinate inventory processes (receipt, restocking, and replenishment).
  • Lift/core merchandise (up to 30+ lbs with assistance) and reorganise displays.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Experience

  • 1+ year in a retail leadership or key holder position.
  • 2+ years in retail operations and customer experience.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Cash management proficiency and POS operations (Shopify knowledge is a plus!).
  • Independent problem-solving under minimal supervision.
  • Physical stamina (ability to stand/walk/manipulate inventory for 8+ hours/day).
  • Attention to detail when merchandising and inventory operations.
  • Relatable, warm personality—we’re looking for those who passionately engage customers.
