Section Manager – Zara (Full Time) Kidswear Derby
Reporting to: General Manager / Deputy Store Manager
About the Role
As a Section Manager at Zara, you support senior management in leading a section of the store, driving commercial performance, and creating an inclusive, engaging, and fast-paced environment. You will coordinate daily shop floor activity, support and motivate the team, and ensure company standards are met while delivering a strong, customer-focused experience.
This role is suited to individuals who bring the right mindset - people who are adaptable, empathetic, reliable, and resilient, and who can manage time effectively while working confidently under pressure. You enjoy working with product, data, and people, value collaboration, and take pride in contributing to shared success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Product
- Deliver floor layout and merchandising in line with company guidelines and commercial priorities.
- Promote new collections and key products, adapting layouts using commercial reports, sales data, and customer insights.
- Monitor product availability across all categories, responding proactively to trends and customer demand.
- Maintain store image, cleanliness, and organisation to create an accessible, welcoming, and customer-focused environment.

Operations & Stock
- Ensure effective replenishment, delivery management, and stockroom organisation in a fast-paced setting.
- Support omnichannel, managing daily deadlines with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Use and support in-store technology and operational systems to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
People & Inclusive Culture
- Lead by example with an empathetic and values-led approach, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
- Support productivity through clear planning, fair delegation, and effective communication, especially during peak trading periods.
- Apply HR policies, absence processes, and the Code of Conduct consistently, fairly, and with professionalism.
- Encourage well-being conversations, engagement, accountability, and shared responsibility within the team.

- Support the team with strong product knowledge, styling guidance, and awareness of new arrivals and best sellers.

Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience supporting or leading a team.
- Confidence working with sales data, stock, and operational processes.
