Showroom Sales consultant – Kitchen & Bathrooms – MKM

This role is currently an area with great potential for development and growth. We are seeking an experienced professional to drive forward this vital area of our business in a showroom setting. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career with the leading independent builders’ merchant—combining passion for design and customer service. A driving licence is essential.
About the Role
Step into a dynamic position at the forefront of kitchen and bathroom retail. You’ll guide customers through design, customisation, and sales, turning visions into reality. Responsibilities include building relationships, recommending products, and generating new business opportunities. The role is ** customer-centric** with a focus on revenue growth—you’ll also work alternate Saturday mornings.

DutIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide customers through design, sales, and purchasing processes for kitchens & bathrooms.
- Listen to customer needs and ensure their requirements are understood and fulfilled.
- Identify and recommend products best suited to customer profiles and budgets.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, resolving issues proactively.
- Pro-actively generate new sales, including walk-in and trade inquiries.
- Deliver exceptional service through consistent excellence.
- Represent MKM professionally in all interactions (in-store and beyond).
- Provide service and support on alternate Saturday mornings.
ReQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Must have: Prior experience in a similar retail sales role (sales, design advisor, or a related sector).
- Product expertise: Strong knowledge of kitchen and bathroom products and trends.
- Technical proficiency: Experience with ArtiCAD (or similar) planning software.
- Soft skills essential:
- Confidence and personality for engaging with customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
