Kitchen Assistant

Location: Woodend Care Home CQC Rating: Good Carehome.co.uk Rating: 9.6/10 Salary: £13.30 per hour (depending on experience) Contract: Permanent full-time Company: Bupa

We’re looking for an equally passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help deliver exceptional service through the kitchen.


Key Responsibilities

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Acting as a liaison between the kitchen, catering staff, and care home residents
  • Assisting chefs with:
    • Plating meals
    • Preparing food trolleys for distribution
    • Maintaining clean and safe kitchen preparation areas
  • Monitoring stock rotation and adhering to company policies
  • Ensuring strict compliance with mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines
  • Supporting special events like summer barbecues and Christmas parties with food preparation and distribution

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
