We’re looking for an equally passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help deliver exceptional service through the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Acting as a liaison between the kitchen, catering staff, and care home residents
- Assisting chefs with:
- Plating meals
- Preparing food trolleys for distribution
- Maintaining clean and safe kitchen preparation areas
- Monitoring stock rotation and adhering to company policies
- Ensuring strict compliance with mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines
- Supporting special events like summer barbecues and Christmas parties with food preparation and distribution

Key Skills & Qualifications
This role suitability depends on:
- A passion for food (and experience working in a kitchen preferred)
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- A commitment to delivering the highest standards of dining care
- Understanding the importance of maintaining a clean, pleasant environment for residents
- Working in a team environment with clear communication skills
- Appreciating the small but meaningful interactions with care home residents
