Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistant – Farmhouse Inns

Company Description

Join us at Farmhouse Inns, where we’re driven by quality—just as we do with our majestic portions. That’s why our carvery meats are slow-roasted for 14 hours, our vegetables are freshly prepared, we craft fluffy Yorkshire puddings by hand, serve perfectly crispy roast potatoes, and bake giant cakes—all decorated by hand—right here in our kitchen every day.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our kitchens operate at peak efficiency, delivering flawless service to our customers every shift.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Keeping the kitchen well-stocked, clean, and organised to support a smooth service.
  • Supporting the team in preparing and serving high-quality dishes, from carvery meats to freshly baked desserts.
  • Ensuring adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will:

  • Help maintain the smooth operation of the kitchen service, including stock levels and cleanliness.
  • Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards to protect both staff and guests.
  • Effectively communicate with the team to ensure your colleagues have the tools and ingredients they need.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive and flexible attitude.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
