Kitchen Assistant/Catering Cook - Holsworthy C of E Primary School
Salary details: Grade B
Job term: Permanent
Hours: Full Time – 30 hours per week (8am – 2pm) – 40 weeks per year
Closing date: 7th August 2026, 9am
Start date: 1st September 2026

About the Role:
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Kitchen Assistant/Catering Cook to join our kitchen team. You will play a key role in supporting the Kitchen Manager, be highly skilled and understand the high standards to meet the demands of a busy school kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Catering Manager in providing a high quality hygienic catering service in boarding.
- To work under the direction of the Catering Manager within an agreed system of supervision and to implement agreed work shift patterns and to cover for sickness as required within the kitchen.
- As part of the kitchen team, support in the production of ‘safe’ food in a hygienic environment.
- To provide customer satisfaction at all times within all aspects of the kitchen service.
- To support in the production of breakfast, lunch and evening tea. To include packed lunches as appropriate for day trips, work experience etc., under the direction of the Catering Manager.
- To be an effective member of the whole boarding staff team, fostering positive working relationships within the establishment.
