About the Role
The Kitchen Porter is responsible for maintaining hygiene standards, ensuring correct chemical usage, and performing general cleaning and pot washing. This role ensures that all areas, including the kitchen, storage areas, and staff dining facilities, are kept clean, organized, and hygienic, in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Duties
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and work surface
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stores, ensuring that all items are stored correctly
- Clean and sanitize the staff dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors
- Dispose of waste and recyclables according to company policies and procedures
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages
- Assist with the setting up and breakdown of kitchen and dining areas as needed
- Adherence to Regulations: Ensuring compliance with UK health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
- Waste Management: Proper disposal of waste and recycling, following local environmental guidelines
- Inventory Management: Assisting with the inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring they are stored safely and used correctly
