📍 Location: Holiday Inn Express, Aberdeen Airport
💰 Salary: 💶 Salary: £26,561.60 per annum | £12.77 per hour, 40 hours per week, 5 days
Join our dedicated team as a Kitchen Porter at Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Airport. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospitality environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to maintain the cleanliness, efficiency, and high hygiene standards of our kitchen.
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll support our kitchen team in ensuring everything runs smoothly. This role involves physical work, teamwork, and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Daily kitchen maintenance:
- Ensuring sanitation of all kitchen areas (dishwashing, mopping, cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils)
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards during storage, handling, and preparation
- Collaboration with chefs:
- Assisting with food preparation, stock rotation, prep work, and basic cooking tasks
- Supporting preparations and retrieval of ingredients as needed
- Inventory and waste management:
- Tracking kitchen supplies and notifying management when stocks are low
- Proper disposal of waste and recycling processes
- Operational support:
- Supporting teams to prep and serve food promptly and efficiently
- Following all health, safety, and security protocols
- Working flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
- No formal qualifications are required but would be beneficial
- Interest in hospitality, culinary environments, or food safety
- Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and initiative
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends/public holidays (rotating shifts)
