Kitchen Assistant – Major Opportunity at Riversway Nursing Home

About the Role
This position is based at Riversway Nursing Home, a precision-designed facility serving 63 residents with varied health needs—physical, age-related, and mental. We require candidates who are patient, empathetic, and deeply respectful of individual needs to deliver dignified and supportive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing tailored meals, snacks, and beverages according to resident dietary requirements
- Conducting quality checks on food hygiene and storage practices
- Ensuring a dignified dining experience, assisting with efficient food service
- Maintaining accurate stock records, inventory, and ordering to comply with policed safety standards
- Keeping the kitchen hygienic, clean, and tidy—including thorough deep cleaning

Requirements & Support Provided
We’re looking for individuals with: ✓ A genuine passion for care, rooted in patience and compassion ✓ Experience as a Cook (preferred) and, ideally, food hygiene/catering qualifications (helpfully offered by ourselves if lacking)
No experience? No problem. We’ll provide necessary training to equip you for this vital role.
