Kitchen Assistant
Location Waverley Grange Care Home 45 Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey GU9 8BH
Salary £13.30 per hour
Contract Permanent, 18 hours per week (3 days, 6-hour shifts between 10 am - 4 pm, including alternate weekends)

Making Health Happen – Your Responsibilities
As Kitchen Assistant, you’ll:
- Serve as the bridge between the kitchen and our residents, ensuring care and connection through nutritious meals
- Work alongside chefs to plate meals, prepare trolleys, and maintain immaculate preparation areas
- Monitor food stock, adhere to safety policies, and uphold all COSHH and HACCP guidelines
- Assist with special events (summer BBQs, Christmas parties, and more)
- Support a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel cared for
Who We’re Looking For
Key Skills & Requirements:
- A passion for food: Previous kitchen experience is essential
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not mandatory for initial application)
- Commitment to excellence—ensuring every meal reflects our standards of care
- Strong communication and teamwork ethos
- Appreciation of meaningful human connection in your role
