Kitchen Assistant

At Riversway Nursing Home, based in the heart of Bristol, we provide specialised care for 63 residents with a range of physical, age-related, and mental health conditions. Every member of our caring team plays a vital role in ensuring residents receive dignified, high-quality support.


About the Role

As our Kitchen Assistant, you’ll ensure residents receive nutritious, person-centred meals while maintaining a well-organised, hygienic environment in our kitchen. This role is perfect for someone with a genuine passion for care who is ready to contribute meaningfully to our community.


Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks include:

  • Preparing meals, snacks, and beverages tailored to each resident’s dietary requirements
  • Conducting quality checks on food preparation and stored stock
  • Assisting with food service to enhance residents’ dignified dining experience
  • Maintaining up-to-date stock records in accordance with company policies and food safety regulations
  • Ordering stock while keeping financial and inventory records accurate
  • Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, hygienic, and well-maintained, including support for deep-cleaning tasks

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced cook with:

  • A genuine caring nature and a desire to make a meaningful difference
  • Ideally, a Food Hygiene or Catering qualification (pero en este caso no es obligatorio / training will be provided)
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
