About the Role
Support the Head Chef at Amberley Hall Care Home, providing a high-quality food service tailored to the needs of residents. Maintain exceptional standards in catering services, dining experiences, and public areas such as the café.
Reporting directly to the Head Chef, your role includes:
- Ensuring top-tier quality in meal preparation and service.
- Supporting healthcare-focused dining with dietary preferences in mind.
- Contributing to maintaining cleanliness in communal areas (café, dining spaces).
- Providing refreshments for residents and guests.
Salary: £12.71 per hour Hours: 30 weekly (rotating shifts Monday–Sunday) Location: Baldock Drive, King’s Lynn, PE30 3DQ
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate to deliver excellent residential dining experiences aligned with high service standards.
- Assist the Head Chef during meal service, ensuring dietary requirements are met and areas are appropriately stocked.
- Engage residents in social interaction, supporting meaningful activities tailored to their preferences at a respectful pace.
- Maintain strict food safety and health & safety compliance for all team members, residents, and visitors (aligned with food and safety manuals).

Training & Requirements
- Workplace experience in kitchens preferred—catering background (care-friendly skills a plus).
- NVQ Level 2 Food Hygiene certification desirable; not mandatory.
- Essential traits:
- Unquantifiable reliability + strong communication skills.
- Keen eye for attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office competency.
- No prior care experience required, but enthusiasm for hospitable service is key.
